In Memory of My Little Mally

Mrs. O'Mally
November 28, 1998 - October 22, 2008

Today is the one year anniversary of the passing of My Little Mally. I still miss her terribly. She was my sweet companion for almost 9 years. I rescued her when she was one year old.

We got Wilson in 2006.

Last year when she passed away, I wrote about her and Wilson and Homer and the Southern California Boston Terrier Rescue here.

Dear Sweet Mally -
Thanks for being such a wonderful companion, we miss you girl.

  4. Nice post, Lori. Your photos and words express so well your sentiment. Thanks for rescuing her- it sounds like she provided much happiness and companionship. I know how you miss her - any of us with dogs (living or not) know the unconditional love.

  6. What a sweet picture and post. I read what you wrote last year. I don't know how you got through it a day after you lost her. If I'm still blogging when Boz goes, my readers won't know about it right away because I won't be able to bring myself to write about it.

We got Boz at Boxer Rescue in San Fernando. I can't imagine getting a dog any other way. In the LA basin you can get any kind of dog, young or old, mutt or purebred, via a rescue operation.

I'm madly in love with Wilson. Don't tell Boz.

  10. What a sweet memory. My dog passed away this summer, and we rescued him too. How lucky we are to have such good friends in our lives.

Someone sent me an email yesterday about a six year old boy, and the passing of his dog. This was the moral of the story from the boy's perspective. I hope it makes sense. It's so true.

After his dog passed, he said,''People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life -- like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?'' The Six-year-old continued,

''Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay as long.''
