In Memory of My Little Mally

Mrs. O'Mally
November 28, 1998 - October 22, 2008

Today is the one year anniversary of the passing of My Little Mally. I still miss her terribly. She was my sweet companion for almost 9 years. I rescued her when she was one year old.

Mally with my brother and nephews, Stone and Jett, in 2004.

Mally and Homer in 2005.

Mally and Wilson
We got Wilson in 2006.

Mally and Stone in 2007

Last year when she passed away, I wrote about her and Wilson and Homer and the Southern California Boston Terrier Rescue here.

Dear Sweet Mally -
Thanks for being such a wonderful companion, we miss you girl.

  1. Loving thoughts go out to you today, LL. She was a sweet little girl. Thanks for rescuing her and giving her a great life!

  2. I'm sorry for your loss. Mally was a beautiful, sweet dog. You gave her a wonderful life.

    Very nice photos.

  3. Mr. O'Mally was so lucky to have had a such a loving family. I love the pictures. :) May she be just as happy in doggie heaven.

  4. Nice post, Lori. Your photos and words express so well your sentiment. Thanks for rescuing her- it sounds like she provided much happiness and companionship. I know how you miss her - any of us with dogs (living or not) know the unconditional love.

  5. A true lady! A very sweet post, LL.
Your nephews are so very cute and I love their names.

  6. What a sweet picture and post. I read what you wrote last year. I don't know how you got through it a day after you lost her. If I'm still blogging when Boz goes, my readers won't know about it right away because I won't be able to bring myself to write about it.

We got Boz at Boxer Rescue in San Fernando. I can't imagine getting a dog any other way. In the LA basin you can get any kind of dog, young or old, mutt or purebred, via a rescue operation.

I'm madly in love with Wilson. Don't tell Boz.

  7. I'm so sorry. Believe me, I feel your pain. We lost our beloved Meesha this last Monday. There is a huge hole in my heart right now...

  8. lovely tribute to your dear one.
tomorrow is one year anniversary of my dear lion (19 1/2 years old) passing. she was a wonderful kat ^..^

  9. A beautiful dog, with a beautiful-sounding spirit. May she continue to rest in peace.

  10. What a sweet memory. My dog passed away this summer, and we rescued him too. How lucky we are to have such good friends in our lives.

Someone sent me an email yesterday about a six year old boy, and the passing of his dog. This was the moral of the story from the boy's perspective. I hope it makes sense. It's so true.

After his dog passed, he said,''People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life -- like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?'' The Six-year-old continued,

''Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay as long.''

  11. Aww, my first visit and I see your sweet mally. Bless you. It's hard to get over the loss of a cherished pet I know. She was a cutie and i know you miss her.

  12. Thanks so much everyone. Your comments are truly appreciated. I am so happy to have been able to share My Little Mally with you. And thank you for sharing with me...

So nice to hear from you!

Warm regards,
Lori Lynn
