Spanish Bluebell

Spanish Bluebell (Hyacinthoides hispanica) is a spring-flowering bulbous perennial native to the Iberian Peninsula.

Spanish Bluebell vs. English Bluebell

All the flowers on an English Bluebell are on the same side of the thin stalk, therefore gravity pulls the stalk over into a curve.

Spanish Bluebell flowers alternate around the stalk. The stalk is thicker than the English Bluebell, so it is stronger and it remains straight as the flowers are not pulling it in one direction.
